The Bucket List
A day can turn out happy and disappointing at the same time. A month is enough to consume you with activities you both hate and love to do. A year-long, if summed up, can contain memories that decipher the past, illustrate the present, and reveal the path to the future.
This year has been an unscripted one for me. And I would like to be reminded that not all experiences came as a chance to reflect on a particular something, some are simply a matter of decision. I can say that this year has opened my mind, heart and soul to a deeper level.
This year was all about realizing that suffering setbacks does not mean that this will be a hindrance to fulfilling your dreams. Because we are not blessed with our desires but with what we need to be able to be of blessings to others as well.
Having been given the opportunity to serve for the country is one of the greatest blessings I received. I can say that there is no greater fulfillment in life than to give oneself for the welfare of the citizens. And I am thankful to people who wholeheartedly and selflessly dedicate themselves to create a brighter future for the public.
My heart and soul were tested to their limits for the past few months, and I am grateful that my intentions remain pure, after all. And so far, bad decisions were made so that better opportunities can present themselves.
And so next year is another round of filling up a new bucket list.
